In the coming week, Xavier will return to his alma mater, the University of Amsterdam, where he will deliver two lectures, both focusing on aspects of Chinese music.

On December 8, Xavier will speak about the intersection of Chinese language, music, and philosophy, drawing on scientific literature as well as examples from Kun opera, guqin music, Eastern philosophy, and the Chinese language. The lecture will take place at the University Theatre (UT 3.01), from 11:15 to 12:45.

Later that week, on Thursday, December 11, Xavier will once again visit the University of Amsterdam for his second lecture: a comparative study of Peking opera and Western opera. This talk will also be held at the University Theatre (UT 3.01), from 15:30 to 17:00.
